Why Arabic Helps Your Child Love the Quran
When children understand even a few words of what they recite, the Quran stops being sounds and starts being a message. Learning Arabic early makes this natural: young children pick up new sounds easily and remember words through play.
Our tutors connect lessons to the Quran wherever they can. A lesson on family words might end with a verse about parents; a lesson on numbers might count the verses of Surah Al Ikhlas.
Older learners and parents can read our guide to learning Arabic online.
What Makes Our Arabic Lessons Work
Playful lessons
Pictures, songs, flashcards and games keep young children engaged.
Patient tutors
Experienced with children and trained to praise effort, not just results.
Parent updates
Regular reports on new words learnt and what to practise at home.
Recorded lessons
Every class is recorded so children can review songs and new words.
How to Help Your Child Learn Arabic at Home
Little and often
Ten minutes a day of reviewing flashcards or singing the alphabet song does more than one long session at the weekend.
Label your home
Stick Arabic word cards on doors, tables and windows. Children love finding them and remember words faster.
Connect it to salah
Ask your child what words they recognise in Surah Al Fatihah. When they hear Ω±ΩΩΨΩΩ ΩΨ―Ω and know it means praise, prayer becomes more meaningful.
Celebrate progress
Our tutors send parents a list of new words each week. Ask your child to teach you two of them at dinner.
Online Arabic classes or an app?
Apps are fun for vocabulary, but they cannot correct pronunciation or hold a conversation. A live tutor does both, and adapts each lesson to your child's interests.
