Learn Noorani Qaida Online
One to One at Home
The perfect first step for children and adults who cannot read Arabic yet. Patient tutors teach every letter, sound and vowel until you can read the Quran on your own.
Our Noorani Qaida online classes teach complete beginners to read Arabic from the very first letter. Lessons are one to one on Zoom, 20 to 30 minutes for children and 30 to 45 minutes for adults. Most children finish the Qaida in three to nine months and then move straight on to reading the Quran with Tajweed.

Our tutors follow the Qaida lesson by lesson and only move on when each step is secure.

Why Every Reader Starts with Noorani Qaida
The first word revealed to the Prophet ๏ทบ was a command to read. The Noorani Qaida is how millions of Muslims answer that call: it builds reading skills in small, logical steps so that, by the end, a child or adult can open the Mushaf and read on their own.
Skipping the Qaida usually means guessing at letters and building habits that are hard to fix later. A good tutor makes sure every sound is right from day one, which makes Tajweed far easier afterwards.

Tips for Parents
Ten minutes of daily practice does more than one long session a week. Sit with your child, praise effort, and keep the tablet in a shared room. Our guide on motivating your child to learn the Quran has more ideas.
What Is in Each Noorani Qaida Lesson?
The Noorani Qaida is usually taught in around 17 lessons. Here is a simple overview of how our tutors group them:
| Lessons | Topic | What your child can do after |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | Single and joined letters | Recognise and say every Arabic letter |
| 3 to 4 | Letter shapes and muqatta'at | Read letters in any position in a word |
| 5 to 8 | Harakaat and tanween | Read short syllables and words |
| 9 to 12 | Madd letters, sukoon and leen | Read long and short sounds correctly |
| 13 to 17 | Shaddah, combined rules and practice | Read full verses with confidence |
Online or at the mosque?
Many children begin the Qaida at a weekend madrasah, which is wonderful for community. The challenge is time: in a group of fifteen children, each child reads for only a few minutes. One to one online lessons give your child the full lesson to read, so they usually finish the Qaida far sooner.

What is Noorani Qaida?
Noorani Qaida is a beginner book that teaches the Arabic letters, their sounds, vowel marks and how letters join together. It is the first step before reading the Quran itself.
How long does it take to finish Noorani Qaida online?
Most children finish in three to nine months with three lessons a week. Adults often finish in two to four months because they practise with more focus.
What age can my child start Noorani Qaida classes?
Children can usually start from age four, once they can recognise shapes and sit for a 20 to 30 minute lesson.
Can adults learn Noorani Qaida online?
Yes. Many adults start with us from zero. Private lessons mean nobody else is listening, so you can learn at a comfortable pace.
Do I need to buy the Noorani Qaida book?
No. Your tutor shares the pages on screen. You can also download our free Noorani Qaida PDF in Urdu or in English to practise between lessons.
What comes after Noorani Qaida?
Students move on to Nazra, reading directly from the Mushaf, and then to our Tajweed classes to perfect their recitation.
Is Noorani Qaida the same as Madani Qaida?
They teach the same skills in a slightly different order. We teach Noorani Qaida by default, but tutors can follow Madani Qaida if your child already uses it at the mosque.
Is there a free trial?

How many lessons are in the Noorani Qaida?
Most editions have around 17 lessons, starting with single letters and ending with full words and verses.
