Holy Quran Learning ("we", "us", "our") runs holyquranlearning.com and its blog at holyquranlearning.com/blog. We teach the Quran, Tajweed, Hifz, Tafseer and Arabic online to children and adults around the world. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it. If anything here is unclear, please write to us at info@holyquranlearning.com.
Holy Quran Learning, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us by email at info@holyquranlearning.com or by phone and WhatsApp on +92 333 676 8209.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Where data protection laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we rely on: your consent (for example, the newsletter and non-essential cookies); the need to take steps you have asked for and to provide classes you have booked; our legitimate interest in running and improving our academy; and our legal obligations.
We only share information with services that help us run the academy, and only as much as they need:
Some of these services are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.
Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use essential cookies that make the site and blog work, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that tell us how the site is used. Some free tools on our site, such as the Ramadan countdown, may save your chosen city or settings in your own browser so they are remembered next time. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Many of our students are children. We ask a parent or guardian to book classes and give us contact details for a child, and we communicate about a child's classes with that parent or guardian. Children's information is used only to teach them and report on their progress. A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time. If we learn that we have collected a child's details without a parent's knowledge, we will delete them.
We keep trial and contact enquiries for up to 12 months if you do not join. We keep student and class records while you are studying with us and for up to 2 years afterwards, and payment records for as long as accounting rules require. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.
We use secure (HTTPS) connections, limit access to the people who need it and use trusted services. No online service can be completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, take it to another provider, or withdraw consent at any time. Residents of some US states, such as California, have similar rights to know about and delete personal information, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. To use any of these rights, email info@holyquranlearning.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to your local data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
Our pages link to other websites, such as YouTube, Facebook and Islamic reference sites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their own policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Important changes will be shown clearly on this page.
