Ghar Se Nikalne Ki Dua in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and English
Say this as you step out of the door, whether you are going to school, work, the masjid or the shop. It takes three seconds and places your whole day in Allah’s care.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might and no power except with Allah.

Second Masnoon Dua for Leaving the House
Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, described a longer dua he said when leaving her home. It asks Allah for protection from going astray, from slipping, from wronging others and from being wronged: four things that can happen to anyone once they step outside.
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika an adilla aw udalla, aw azilla aw uzalla, aw azlima aw uzlama, aw ajhala aw yujhala ‘alayya.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, from slipping or being made to slip, from wronging others or being wronged, and from acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly.
Umm Salamah said the Prophet ﷺ never left her house without raising his gaze to the sky and saying this dua. Also in Tirmidhi 3427 and an Nasa’i.
Ghar Mein Dakhil Hone Ki Dua (Entering the House)

1. Say Bismillah
The Prophet ﷺ said that when a person mentions Allah as he enters his home and at his meal, Shaytan says to his companions: “You have no place to stay and no dinner” (Sahih Muslim 2018). Simply saying Bismillah as you walk in keeps Shaytan out of your home.
2. Give salam to your family
Fa idha dakhaltum buyutan fasallimu ‘ala anfusikum tahiyyatan min ‘indillahi mubarakatan tayyibah.
When you enter houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and good.
Say “Assalamu alaykum” to your family. Imam an Nawawi said to give salam even when the house is empty.
3. The longer entering dua
Allahumma inni as’aluka khayral mawliji wa khayral makhraji, bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa ‘alallahi rabbina tawakkalna.
O Allah, I ask You for the best entering and the best leaving. In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we rely.
Grading: al Albani graded this narration weak in his later work because of a break in the chain, while Ibn Baz and others considered it hasan. The agreed Sunnah is to say Bismillah and give salam, shown below.

Free Door Card PDF for Kids
Print this free PDF and stick it on the inside of your front door. One side has ghar se nikalne ki dua, the other has the entering Sunnah, both in large bold Arabic with Roman, Urdu and English. Children read it every time they put on their shoes.
Ghar Ki Dua vs Safar Ki Dua
Many people mix these up. Ghar se nikalne ki dua is for every time you leave the house, even for five minutes. The safar ki dua is the travel dua you say once you sit in your car, bus, train or plane for a journey. On a trip you say both: the leaving dua at the door and the travel dua on the ride.
Teach Your Children These Duas
Make it a family habit: say the leaving dua out loud together at the door every morning, and say salam loudly when you come home. Within a few weeks your children will remind you.
