What is on Noorani Qaida in English page 26?

This page contains Tashdeed drills and the exercise of Tashdeed. Takhti 12 teaches Tashdeed (Shaddah), the sign that doubles a letter. The letter is read twice: first with Sukoon joined to the letter before it, then with its own vowel. Noon and Meem with Tashdeed are read with Ghunnah, a nasal sound held for two counts. Takhti 13 is practice of Tashdeed in words and short Quranic phrases, so that doubling a letter becomes automatic during normal reading.

How to practise page 26

  1. Press on the doubled letter: "abba", not "aba".
  2. Hold the Ghunnah on نّ and مّ for two counts.
