What is on Noorani Qaida in English page 4?
This page contains joined letters, part 1. Takhti 2 shows how Arabic letters change shape when they join. The same letter looks different at the start, middle and end of a word, so the student learns to recognise each letter by its dots and body, and reads every joined pair by naming the letters separately.
How to practise page 4
- Name each letter in a joined group separately, for example "Ba, Lam, Ba" for بلب.
- Count the dots and check their position (above or below) before saying the letter.
- Practise the letters that look alike in joined form: ب ت ث ن ی.
Common mistakes on this page
- Confusing ن and ی in the middle of a word.
- Guessing a letter from its shape without checking the dots.
